Construct Your Story: College Essay Story-Finding LEGO® Workshop
Staring at a blank screen, waiting for college essay inspiration, is frustrating and stressful.
Construct Your Story in an interactive, hands-on workshop that uses LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology to help high school seniors break through writer’s block, uncover defining personal moments, and map out compelling narrative arcs—brick by brick.
By shifting from blank-page brainstorming to 3D tactile construction, students bypass self-doubt, access forgotten memories, and discover what truly makes their story stand out to admissions committees.
Workshop Scope: This is a story-finding, ideation, and narrative-structuring lab—not a grammar editing or proofreading service. We ensure students leave with their unique story uncovered and structured.

Mine Authentic Experiences: Construct 3D metaphorical models representing pivotal life moments, personal challenges, hobbies, and core identity traits.
Make Sense of the Narrative: Explain their physical builds out loud to discover why an experience matters, what it taught them, and how it shaped their perspective.
Blueprint the Essay Arc: Physically arrange bricks to map out a clear beginning, turning point, insight, and resolution before writing a single word.
Capture the Blueprint: Document their physical models and leave with a completed Story Roadmap Sheet ready for drafting.
