Emily Mire

Emily Mire serves as the Chief Wellness Officer for Bridge 3 and brings a proven track record of wellness-based curriculum design and implementation within higher education to the Bridge 3 team. Emily uses design thinking, specifically within higher education, to encourage reflection and action through the development of tools and resources to address burnout and increase overall wellbeing.

Emily believes that both individuals and organizations deserve to be well, and design thinking is a tool that allows wellness to be developed from the unique lens of each person she works with. Emily thrives in building meaningful relationships with those around her and is committed to creating safe environments to allow others to find the strength in their own voice to bravely challenge the status quo and generate systemic change.

Emily holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Kinesiology/Health Promotion from Louisiana Tech University. Additionally, Emily earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a Master of Education degree in Counseling from Texas Christian University. Emily earned her PhD from Texas Woman’s University, where her research examined the experiences of medical students with symptoms of depression and their barriers to resource utilization. Emily is also a Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
